Replacing aging sliding doors and French patio doors is also another popular project we can help with. The most popular product being used is a clad wood door product. These doors come with multi-point locking systems that secure the door in multiple places along the frame. We have a variety of grille patterns and door styles available. We also have these door panels in a contemporary style that has narrower wood sections and more glass.
Clad sliding doors are also a popular way to open up space and preserve your floor space in a small room. The clad sliding doors have standard sizing as well as custom sizing. They come in 2, 3 and 4-panel configurations. We offer a French style door panel with the traditional 4.5” wide stiles and taller bottom rail as well as the new contemporary version which has 3” stiles and a smaller bottom rail.
Loewen Patio Sliding Doors
- Loewen doors can be wood exterior with natural or primed Douglas Fir OR they can have an extruded aluminum skin over it that is prefinished (ideal for dark colors)
- Patio doors are 2 1/4″ thick panels to allow triple glazing
- Patio door stiles and rails are 2 7/8″ wide. French Patio doors have 4 5/16 stiles and top rail and 7 7/8″ bottom rail
- Extruded cladding is painted with Kynar finish to AAMA 2605 with a 20yr warranty
- 72 finishes are available for the exterior
Solid Laminated Douglas Fir for all wood components to reduce warp - Douglas Fir is 92% stronger at holding nails and screws so it is more resistant to forced entry

LaCantina Sliding Doors
- Specializing in Modern or Contemporary styles
- All doors have aluminum exterior. Available with aluminum interior or wood interior
- 2 15/16” wide stiles and rails make this door a very modern look
- Typically, these doors will be several times the cost of a comparably sized clad door
- Bronze or clear Anodized are standard finishes. Other colors are available as upgrades
- Folding, sliding and swinging doors will all have the same profile and can match each other
- LaCantina Sliding doors can have panels as large as 50 Sq. Ft or more and still slide easily
- Retracting screens systems are also available for these doors
