We are the Atlanta area dealer for North America’s luxury window leader Loewen Windows. This all Douglas Fir product has the best sound and insulating performance ratings including an STC 40 line. If your architect suggested Marvin, we strongly recommend you consider the Loewen brand.
We are also one of the top independent dealers of Windsor windows in the country. Our expertise with this line is second to none. This product line offers exceptional value over other premium brands by offering better features as standard.
Below we have links to some of the most popular types of products being used today. We invite you to come to our education center and showroom to see examples in person and speak with a professional.
Storefront Windows
Modern homes feature large expanses of fixed glass that often run floor to ceiling, similar to those of a storefront. Entire walls made out of glass are also common. Most of the projects where we provide these storefront window walls, we use a clad/wood product. As opposed to a field-assembled aluminum storefront windows system, the factory-assembled clad product offers many advantages: superior warranty, factory glazed, and certified performance. We offer clad wood products by Loewen and Windsor that can achieve this look. If you are considering a Kolbe VistaLuxe product, you owe it to yourself to check out our offering also. If your architect has specified an all aluminum system like Western Window systems, we suggest you consider Fleetwood.
Steel Windows
The thin lines and historic appearance of steel windows is quite popular now. Instead of accepting a non-thermal, locally made iron window or door, we suggest you consider one of two alternatives we offer. The first is the high-end, thermally-broken steel window made with profiles from the Italian firm Secco. This product has U-values similar to a wood window but can be made in breath-takingly slim profiles. The second option would be a clad window with a thin frame and thin muntin bars designed to create the look of steel at a fraction of the price.
Casement Windows
This style of window has a single sash that is hinged on one side of the window and projects outward. Modern casement windows either have hidden hinges and are equipped with a crank mechanism to move the window open, or they have a push-out style lock where the user unlocks the window and pushes it open. Quality windows will have a sequential or multi-point locking system to lock the window in multiple places along the side of the frame. Loewen casement windows offer the best sound ratings and thermal ratings available in a wood window. Windsor casement windows feature a sash set back in the frame with a great exterior muntin detail. Both brands feature extruded cladding for extra strength!
Double Hung Windows
A double-hung window features two sashes that slide up and down past one another. The lower sash sits to the interior of the window and has a lock on the top rail that locks into the lower rail of the upper sash. Most modern versions of this window tilt in so they can be cleaned easier. Loewen double hung windows have a hidden tilt-latch system and a concealed balance system that offers the most wood on the interior of any double hung. Windsor double-hungs offer a non-concealed jambliner and a concealed jamb option. The Windsor concealed jambliner is typically available at the price of our competitors non-concealed jamb.
Specialty Windows
Ovals, segment tops, ellipticals, and other unique windows fall into the specialty category. We can produce these products with a variety of our brands.
