Double Hung Window Replacement
Double Hung replacement windows can be replaced in one of three ways:
- Sash Replacement – only the operable parts of the window are replaced with new tracks and new sashes. Only the interior stop is removed and replaced during the install.
- Pocket Window – a fully assembled window fits into your existing frame. Trim is not disturbed. Only the interior stop is removed and replaced during the install.
- Full Tear Out – the entire window frame and all is replaced with a new one. New interior trim is needed usually along with paint touch up on interior walls.

Windsor Double Hung Windows
Double Hung Wood Clad
- Choose from Clear Select Pine, Natural Alder or Douglas Fir stainable and paintable natural wood interiors.
- Recessed lock, keeper and tilt latch won’t get in the way of your view.
- Low-maintenance exterior provided by heavy-duty aluminum cladding that protects the sash and pocket frame.
- EZ Tilt sash makes washing the outside glass more convenient.
- Concealed jambliner enhances window’s appearance with the warmth of wood on the interior and color-matched aluminum cladding on the exterior.
- Full-sized block and tackle balance system allows sash to smoothly glide open and closed for easy operation.

Vinyl Double Hung Windows
Vinyl windows have a sash and frame made from vinyl extrusions that are welded together in the corners. These are usually the most economical of the choices available, but also the most limited in options.
- Limited Lifetime warranty against defects in material or workmanship covers Vinyl Frame AND the glass!
- Super Spacer reduces heat and cold conduction, meeting or exceeding ENERGY STAR guidelines in all zones.
- Thick, multi-chambered extrusions add strength and decrease air infiltration while allowing for seasonal expansion and contraction.
- Excessive rain and condensation concerns are alleviated by our drainage system, which prevents build ups by directing water away toward the exterior
- Cardinal LoE 366 Insulating glass is standard and 30% better at keeping the heat out than regular LoE windows. Dual LoE coatings are available for colder climates also.
- Divided lite options include GBG (Grille Between Glass) and SDL (Simulated Divided Lites) where bars are on the outside of the glass – either exterior only or both sides
- Available in Pocket installation or Full Tear-Out installation for replacing aluminum windows
